Teen Writer Spotlight: Minnesota Nightmare by Anna

Minnesota Nightmare
By Anna

There is nothing scarier than a wet, stormy night in Minnesota, sleeping in your old rusty pick-up truck, next to the old graveyard; while the wolves are howling and the wind is blowing. You can’t help but wonder what could be lurking out there in the dark. Laying there on your leather seat-covers, wishing it was day, and knowing no sleep will come to this night. You sit in the driver’s seat and rethink why you came here in the first place; Fishing, a job, anything to fill your empty life. Then something hits your truck and brings you back to the present. Sitting there frozen, you, out of the corner of your eye, see it. But what is it? A bear, a wolf, a scary creature of the night? You don’t know. Hoping it was a branch; you go into the glove box and get the flashlight. Opening the door you flick it on.
