Book Review: Blue Moon by Alyson Noel

After four centuries of loneliness, Damen and Ever have nothing but an eternity ahead of them. Or so they think...

When charismatic Roman begins classes at Bay View High, Ever can't figure out why she's the only one who mistrusts him. Why even Damen can't see the darkness lurking beneath Roman's bright, cheerful, all-encompassing yellow aura. Or what it has to do with Damen's inexplicably weakening powers, just when hers are growing stronger. When Damen begins acting strangely as well, Ever knows it has to be Roman, somehow. She just doesn't know how. Or why. But for Damen, she'll do anything to find the answers, even if it means giving up everything, and everyone, she loves... again.

I don't want to reveal too much about this one- you'll just have to check it out @ the library! But I will say that you know you've got a great author on your hands when she takes you places you never, ever dreamed she'd go. Alyson Noel twists and turns Damen and Ever this way and that, leaving them both battered and bruised in this second book in the Immortals series. With some fantastic new characters- Roman, who you'll love to hate, and couple of mysterious, creepy (or are they?) Summerland twins, Blue Moon manages to both deliver and leave you wanting more. And the ending, oh the ending - what a twist! Breathless, edge-of-your-seat, and definately leaves you wishing you could just flip to the first page of the third book, Shadowland. Too bad it won't be published until February 2010, so mark your calendars!

If you haven't read the first book, Evermore, make sure you do- Blue Moon picks up right where it left off!
