Silent Auction Rules

For the first time ever we are giving you more chances to win prizes! We're still drawing for the 10 big gift cards, but we are also going to let you use the books you read this summer as points towards books, movies and other stuff at our first ever Silent Prize Auction.

Here are the complete rules for the Summer Reading Prize Auction:

  1. You must be at the summer reading finale on August 26th to participate in the silent auction.
  2. Bidding on prizes will run from 7-8PM.
  3. Winners will be able to take their prizes home.
  4. Points for the auction are earned by turning in West Allis Public Library Teen Summer Reading program Reading Logs.
  5. Reading dates are from June 1st-August 24th, 2010.
  6. The first day to turn in reading logs is June 15th.
  7. Library staff will track teen reading logs for points.
  8. Points will be distributed to teens who attend the Teen Summer Reading Finale on August 26th.
  9. Points are non-transferable, and we will only award teens the points they earned.
  10. Teens who cannot attend the event are not eligible to participate in the auction.
  11. Teens not at the event are still eligible to win one of the summer reading gift cards.
  12. For each book read and turned in on a reading log, teens will earn one point to bid on available prizes.
  13. Prizes will include, but are not limited to young adult books, DVDs, reading and summer theme prizes.

I'll see you @ the library! Katie (Now finishing Ship Breaker, I started it last month and got distracted by other books!)
