Teen Summer Events

So this summer you can earn entries into the big prize drawing and points for the silent prize auction by attending teen programs! Here are the events you can attend:

Writers Camp:
June 18th, 25th, July 2nd, 9th, and 16th
2-3:30 PM

Calling all writers! Write with us this summer, whether it's poetry, short stories, journaling or any other writing style, we'll have prompts, ideas and different themes for you to write and share! Come to one or all 5 of our sessions this summer!

Summer Fun!
June 26th, July 24th and August 28th*
3:30-5:30 PM

Looking for a place to hang out this summer? Come to the library. We'll open up the Constitution Room for a few hours for you to hang out, play some games and eat some snacks. There's nothing more you have to do! This summer we'll have a special activity at each session, from crafts to a Wii Tournament! So check back to see what events we'll be featuring at each event!

Silent Prize Auction
August 20th
6:30-8:30 PM

You did the reading and writing, now it's time to use those points on books, movies and other literary prizes! When you turn in your reading log you'll get 5 book bucks to use. To earn more book bucks, write book reviews and attend programs for an additional 5 book bucks! (Yes, coming to this event gives you 5 book bucks!). Check back at the library in August for more information about the prize auction!

All events are open to Teens who live in Milwaukee County. Teens are students ages 12-18 who are going into grades 6-12.

I'll see you @ the library!
Katie

*The August 28th Friday Fun program is after the silent prize auction, so attendees will only receive an extra drawing into the grand prize drawing.
