Back to School Tips

Now that most of you are back to school, here is a homework tip from the West Allis Public Library.

If you find yourself with a report due tomorrow after the library is closed, take advantage of our online databases! Databases allow you to access information from reference books, magazines, and newspapers from home computer. All you need is an up to date library card and pin number and you can take access resources such as Worldbook encyclopedia online, a biography database, and much more.

To check out these databases go to http://www.countycat.mcfls.org/ and select "databases" from the top menu. From this point you need to select the city you live in from a list, and you should see all the databases you have access to (from home, in your pajamas at midnight, if necessary). We have a shortcut link on this blog- look to the right of the screen and there should be a "Library Databases" link. If you have any questions about databases or any other library resources, stop by the reference desk or give us a call.

As usual, I'll see you @the library!
Katie

PS: I can't wait to start reading The Dead and the Gone, Susan Beth Pfeffer's companion novel to Life as We Know It. Hopefully, I'll have a book review posted by the end of the week!
