2008 Teens' Top Ten Announced!

The vote is in for YALSA's Teens' Top Ten! Over 8000 teens voted during Teen Read Week last week (hopefully you guys represented West Allis-West Milwaukee!), and here are the teen-elected most fabulous reads of 08 (drumroll please...)

1. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling (of course!)
3. Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney
4. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
5. Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports by James Patterson
6. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (yes! yes! yes!)
7. The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray
8. Extras by Scott Westerfeld
9. Before I Die by Jenny Downham (Kleenex. Lots of Kleenex.)
10. Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson

Personally, I did a happy dance of joy when I saw Cassandra Clare's City of Bones make the list, because seriously, the Mortal Instruments series is made. of. awesome. Anyway, if you've already read all of those, check out the complete list of 2008 nominees!
