History of West Allis Public Library Teens!

Hello WAPL Teens!

We've been cleaning out some of our files, making room for more NEW stuff, and we found some very interesting facts about the library from the past. Did you know that in the 1950's there was a "Teen Buzz Club" at the library? Here's a blurb from a 1955 publication All About West Allis:

"The Teen-Buzz Club is a group of young girls organized for the purpose of learning more about books and the library and possibly gaining information and experience toward librarianship as a career."

Things have changed in 5o (plus) years! We are hoping to have more programs for teens, and for all teens, not just girls. Hopefully we'll see you at the Twilight Prom November 20th or at our Open Game Day on December 11th! Keep your eyes open for information about programs for 2009!

I'll see you @ the library!
