Love it or Hate it the Booklist Day 5: Heartbreak

Love can be so sweet, until it's over that is. Here are a few books about heartbreak, rejection and getting over love.

Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway: When Audrey ended things with Evan, she thought things were over. When Evan writes a hit song about the break up Audry is now the center of Media attention. At least the whole world isn't singing about your break up!

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist and Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan: Two great authors, two different books, two stories of break ups gone bad. In Nick and Norah's, Nick's break up with Norah's "friend" Triss one part of one crazy night. Kissing the wrong boys threaten to ruin BFF's Naomi and Ely's BFF status.

Kissing the Bee by Kathe Koja: Dana tells the story of her senior year, including her best friend (and Queen Bee) Avra's plans to leave home right after prom. Woven into this quiet story are Dana's senior project on bees and well as her feelings for Emil, Avra's boyfriend.

Boyfriend List by E. Lockhart: Ruby Oliver has lost it all, her boyfriend her girl friends, and her dignity. Suffering from panic attacks, he is forced to see a shrink, Dr Z., she now has to make a list of all her boyfriends to try to see what went wrong.

Just Listen by Sarah Dessen: Annabelle always had the perfect life. Things fell apart before her junior year in high school. In a self induced exile Annabelle meets Owen, a boy with a reputation for being angry. Sarah Dessen writes the best stories of heartbreak and hope, so check out Just Listen or anyone of her books, and make sure to have the Kleenex ready.

That's all for the "Love it or Hate it" booklist. I hope you enjoyed some of these books as much as I have!
I'll see you @ the library!
