Book Soundtracks and Playlists

If you love your iPod or MP3 player as much as I do, check out some of our fave authors' playlists and book soundtracks!

Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson
Katie just blogged this chilling account of two girls' descent into anorexia, and Laurie Halse Anderson is flat-out amazing, so check out what inspires her when she writes.

Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan
There's a few playlists for this one! The (T)rainy/Rainy Playlist, Music Mentioned in the Book, and The Norah Soundtrack.

If I Stay by Gayle Forman
Another Katie favorite, this heart-wrenching read has a pretty awesome, eclectic mix of music. This one's also been optioned by Summit Entertainment with Catherine Hardwicke signed to direct the movie, so get a jump and the playlist and see if any of the tunes show up in the movie!

The Immortals series by Alyson Noel
The first book in this series, Evermore, is the only one that's published right now, and IMHO it was phenomonal. Watch for the next in the series, Blue Moon, in July!

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
Libba's got tons of songs on here that she loves- to get to the soundtrack for the first book in the Gemma Doyle trilogy, scroll all the way down.

Paper Towns by John Green
John Green = Made. Of. Awesome! in our book, so how could his playlist be anything less?

The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer
Click on each of the books, then look for the Playlist link on the left for the songs that inspired Meyer to give us the ultimate vampire love story.

Chasing Tail Lights, Nailed, and Things Change by Patrick Jones
Click on the book cover, then click on the Playlist link on the left.

Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr
With the third in this series, Fragile Eternity, coming out on Tuesday, load these tunes onto your computer to set the perfect mood for reading the latest in this dark faerie fantasy.

Enjoy!
Megan (who still needs to get around to reading Wicked Lovely... maybe some music will inspire me!)
