What did these guys win? Every Friday (through August 7th) is Free Book Friday here at the WAPL! What do you have to do to win a free book? If you're a Milwaukee County teen between the ages of 12-18 (or will be entering grades 6-12), pick up a teen summer reading log at the adult Info desk, read 4 books, and turn it back in to us. On Friday, we draw out 2 of the logs- if yous is one of them, you win a free paperback book! The best part is, all the reading logs (even the Free Book Friday winners!) get dumped into the Big Raffle Box for our End of the Summer Reading Party prize drawing for gift cards and some other fun stuff.
Looks like we're not the only ones to think that Free Book Fridays are a good idea! Head on over to Free Book Friday Teens to enter for a chance to win a free, autographed books... every Friday! I just discovered this one, and it's pretty much made of awesome. Every week, a new author is featured, and you can enter to win an autographed copy of one of their books. This week's book is Erec Rex Book 3: The Search for the Truth by Kaza Kingsley. Last week's pick was Alyson Noel's Blue Moon, the sequel to Evermore. I didn't win the book, but I did score an exclusive sneak peak at about 14 pages of Blue Moon. Go check it out - who knows what other awesomeness awaits?
