August Writing Challenge

Do you love to write? Do you have trouble getting motivated to write? Do you need a good reason to start writing?

Author Laurie Halse Anderson is challenging you to "Write for 15 minutes Every Day" for the month of August. Starting today, grab a notebook and pen and write for at least 15 minutes. Laurie Halse Anderson is a celebrated author (and WAPLTeen favorite!) of the books Speak, Twisted, and Wintergirls. She has promised writing prompts and cheerleading at her website: http://halseanderson.livejournal.com/

This is a great way to start writing. No assignments, no page limits or word counts- just you and the pen and paper (or keyboard and computer). This October we are going to start a teen writing group @ the library. This will be a time where you write and share (and maybe even get published on this blog). Keep your eyes and ears open more more information about the West Allis Teen Writers Workshop, and start writing!

I'll see you @ the library!
