Fall Teen Programming Preview

For all of you wondering what great programs the library is going to have for teens this fall, here is a preview. Keep your eyes and ears open for more information about the following programs:

September 24th 7-8:15 Constitution Room: Homework Help @ the Library
Have the back to school blues? Never fear, the library is here! That's right, the library has great resources to help you with all of your homework and study needs. We'll show you some of the cool databases you can access from home, and give you tips to make this year the best school year ever.

October 18-24th Teen Read Week
Teen Read Week is kind of a big deal for us here at the library, so we are going to celebrate all month long! Check out our special teen displays, and teen contests. From a book review contest, to a "Where in West Allis is Pocket Edward" photo guessing game, there will be something for everyone.

October 20th 7-8:30 Constitution Room Teen Writers Workshop: Book Reviews
Calling all teen writers: This program if for you. Whether you write essays, fiction or poetry we want you to join us for a short writing workshop. In October, we will focus on writing book reviews, however feel free to bring any writing project you are working on! (FYI, all October long we will be running a book review contest, come to the writing event for tips and advice on to make your book reviews stand out.)

November 19th New Moon Event
Megan has been planning this since last year. Show your love for Twilight, and your support for "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob". Come for games, previews and fun before you head out to the midnight showing of New Moon. Registration will be required for this event, so keep your eyes open for posters!

December 15th Duct Tape Crafts
Need a new wallet, MP3 player cover or flip-flops? Why not make them out of duct tape! That's right, you can make or stuff for yourself or friends out of Duct Tape! We'll provide the Duct Tape and instructions, all you need to do is create!

Wii Events
Don't forget about our Wii Saturdays! Open play on September 26th and October 24th with a Super Smash Brothers Brawl tournament on November 21st!
