Join us this Saturday, February 27th, at 2:00 PM in the Constitution Room for the first of the 2010 season Super Smash Bros. Brawl Scrimmages!No need to pre-register - just show up at the door a little before 2 to sign up for gamer order. The scrimmage is limited to 24 gamers.
We'll start things off with a couple of 4-player warm-up qualifying rounds to order you guys into your scrimmage brackets, and then we'll be off! The scrimmage brawls will be 2-player instead of 4, and the bracket is double elimination, which means you get one loss. If you lose a second brawl, well... you're out!
What are the prizes? This time, I've got three big movie-sized boxes of candy (Nerds, Jolly Rancher gummies, and Skittles, my personal favorite candy!) - champion gets first pick, 1st runner-up second, and 2nd runner-up whatever box is left. In addition to the prizes, ALL scrimmage gamers will gain points that will seat you higher in the June tournament bracket than tournament gamers who don't scrimmage. Each scrimmage you play in earns you more points!
The March scimmage will be Regulation, which means no items, just brawl skills, and maybe a Smash Ball or two. And, for those of you who were wondering, April's scrimmage will be a Wildcard Item Scrimmage.
And, last but not least, gamers are welcome to BYO controllers, snacks, and soda to the scrimmages.
