Book Review: Carter's Big Break by Bent Crawford

Will Carter has just survived a tough freshman year in high school. Now he is ready to relax this summer. With his awesome girlfriend Abby working at a drama camp at the high school, he'll have time to hang out with his boys, make some money building a deck with his dad and hopefully stay out of trouble.

Then author/ filmmaker C.B. Down comes to town to film his next movie. Impressed with their roles in Guys and Dolls, he wants Carter and Abby to audition for the leads of his movie. Just when things couldn't be going better, Carter and Abby break up. Somehow, Carter ends up starring in the movie with teen sensation Hilary Idaho. If Carter thought surviving freshman year was tough, now he has to survive a movie set, demanding star and an evil movie producer.

Full of the same laugh out loud humor, implausible situations and teenage boy insights as Carter Finally Gets It, fans of the first book should not miss out on this sequel. Future actors, actresses and fans of the E! channel will enjoy the look at film making and celebrity. You'll laugh at Carter, feel bad for Abby (and Hilary), and wish your summer could be half as entertaining.

I'll see you @ the library!
