Book Review: The Eternal Ones by Kirsten Miller

What if love refused to die?

Haven Moore has been haunted by visions of a past life since she was a little girl. Visions where she was a 1920s New York girl named Constance, and she was completely in love with devastatingly handsome Ethan. Visions that always end in fire and death.

Living in tiny Snope City, Tennessee, with her horrible grandmother, Imogene, and her timid mother, Haven is an outsider. Imogene is sure her granddaughter has a demon, and there are no secrets in Snope City, which means all Haven's classmates think she's crazy, violent, and possessed. Everyone except Beau, Haven's best friend, confidante, and co-fashion designer. Haven has spent her entire life knowing she has to get to New York and find whoever Ethan is in this life - she just can't figure out how she's going to get past Imogene and escape.

When Haven sees millionaire New York playboy Iain Morrow on TV, it only takes a glimpse of his smile for her to know he's Ethan. And that she's in love with him still. Or maybe again. But how does a girl from Tennessee attract the attention of someone like Iain? When a new vision shows her that Constance and Ethan were both members of a mysterious organization known as the Ouroboros Society, Haven does a little research. Not only is the Society still around and based in New York, Haven also discovers that her father wrote the Society years ago - about her visions of Constance and Ethan.

After Imogene blames Haven and her demon for a fire that destroys most of their home, Haven knows it's time to go and find Ethan. With Beau's help, she sets out for New York to find the answers to her past - and her future.

Fans of Becca Fitzpatrick, Lauren Kate, Alyson Noel, and Stephenie Meyer do not want to miss The Eternal Ones! Absolutely swoonworthy, I devoured this in one sitting. Romance and eternal love pretty much drip off this book's pages, and with good dark gothic mystery, a gorgeously tormented hero (how awesome of a name is Iain, seriously?!) who just might be a murderer, snake handlers (yep, that's right) and a secret society with some serious dirty laundry, how can you pass this kind of awesome up? Are you still reading this blog post? Because you need to be putting a hold on The Eternal Ones, stat!
