Book Review: Black Hole Sun by David Macinnis Gill

Planet Earth is uninhabitable, and and human life has moved to Mars. Mars has proven to be unstable, and governments have fallen, and now rich individuals rule cities for power and influence. Durango is a Regulator, a soldier for hire working whatever jobs he can to help support himself and a few other Regulators.

Against his better judgement he takes a job for three clueless minors. It's not going to be easy to protect the minors from the Draeu hunting them, and their children. His team consist of Vienne, his attractive second in command, two other Regulators who may be more trouble than their knowledge is worth, and two more surprise guests who end up making the journey with the four Regulators.

Black Hole Sun is a fast paced science fiction book that will keep you wondering what will happen next. Suspend your disbelief, because this book takes twists and turns from the possible to the nearly impossible. Durango is a believable hero, with a shady past that will leave you wanting more. His second in command, Vienne, who can more than hold her own in a battle, is a kick-butt girl that will keep you cheering for her.

Science Fiction fans should not miss this one, and for those of you looking for another dystopian novel after the Hunger Games trilogy, Black Hole Sun is a must read for you!

I'll see you @ the library!
