Movies based on Teen Books

So you're waiting for Eclipse to come out on DVD this Friday. You've seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and July 2011 is too far away. Here are some other great teen books that have been made into movies that you can check out from the library!

Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging (2008): Fans of Georgia Nicholson's diaries need not fret, our favorite Brit has a movie of her own. Check out Georgia, her friends and her dream boy, as well as all of your other favorite characters!

How To Deal (2003): Mandy Moore stars as Halley Martin in this mash up of two great Sarah Dessen books, Someone Like You and That Summer. Not your typical teen movie, this smart movie even features an extra all about YA books!

Inkheart (2008): Looking for adventure and fantasy? Look no further than this adaptation of Cornelia Funke's Inkheart.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World (2010): Michael Cera brings the graphic novel star Scott Pilgrim to life as he battles the evil ex-es of Ramona Flowers, to win her heart.

Speak (2004): Melinda refuses to speak, after a party where she called the cops. Check out a pre-Twilight Kristin Stewart in this adaptation of Laurie Halse Anderson's awarding winning novel.

Of course you can always do a Princess Diaries doubleheader, or watch Eragon for some dragon training adventures. Me? I'm holding out for 2012 and the supposed Hunger Games movie!

I'll see you @ the library!
