New E-books @ the West Allis Public Library

The library has recently added a lot of science eBooks that you can use at home, in the library or anywhere you have an Internet connection! There are resources on Alternative Energy, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Science Projects, Animals, Forensics, Sport Science and more!

Right now they can be accessed through the West Allis Public Library Database Page. You'll want to look under the Science section and click on the Gale Virtual Reference Library. If you are at home you will need your library card number to log into the system.* Soon you will be able to search the titles in CountyCat as well.

Why are databases and eBooks so great? For starters, these are resources that you can use to do research no matter when, as long as you have your computer and Internet you are set! So you know those nights, when you forget that you have a big project due tomorrow and it's 9:15PM? Well we have books, magazines and other resources that you can access from home. Here is a link to all of the library's databases:

Oh yeah, remember these are "real" books, they're just available online. If you had a print copy of the book you could find the page and information just the same. Any questions about databases or eBooks? Just give the library a call and we'll be happy to help you out!

I'll see you @ the library!

*Your library card will need to be from the West Allis Public Library. If you want to use the eBooks or other databases, check out the list in CountyCat that links up to the library where your library card is from.
