Upcoming Events @ the Library!

Summer reading is done, and school has just started, so you need something to look forward to, right? Megan and I have some super fun things planned for this fall @ the library, so keep your eyes on the blog, in the library, and where ever you get your library news!

Get out your red pens and mark September 22nd 4 PM on your calender. Author Lisa McMann is going to be @ the West Allis Public Library to talk about her new book The Unwanteds. Check out Megan's post for more information!

Then we are having a library scavenger hunt just for teens. Starting September 15th and running until October 20th, stop in the library, pick up our scavenger hunt sheet and get to work. All completed entries will be entered into a drawing for some new teen books, movies and other fun stuff. You might just learn something about the library too!

Next is Teen Read Week! From October 17th - 21st, we'll have trivia prizes and all kinds of fun stuff in our new Teen Space. Then join us on October 20th for our Teen Space Open House, where you can enter to win prizes, make some crafts and hang out in the new Teen Space.

Anyone up for a Breaking Dawn party? Keep November 17th open, so you can join us for an evening of Twilight festivities in preparation for the movie release. Tickets will be required for this event so check back for more info!

Finally, on December 15th help us make some delicious Ginger Bread Houses. Just in time for winter, we'll have all the stuff you need to create your very own house of candy and frosting. We'll vote for our favorites, and every one will leave with their own creation.

And that's all in addition to some Wii days, so gamers you are going to want to be here on December 3rd. (Edit: There will be another Wii date this fall, so keep your eyes on the blog for more information!)

Keep your eyes open for more information about all of these awesome events @ the West Allis Public Library!
