Gaming will begin at 2:00 PM in the Constitution Room with a few non-elimination warm-up rounds to rank you for tournament player order. Warm-up rounds will be 4-player, 3 lives, and 3-5 minutes long (round time will depend on the number of competing gamers). We'll take a short break, and then start serious gaming - tournament rounds will be double-elimination, 3 lives, 3-5 minutes (again, depending on number of competing gamers). Stage selection will be random, with all items open and on high - yes, this includes the smashball!
So what happens when you win? $25 gift card to Game Stop to the champion, and $15 and $10 cards to the first and second runners-up, respectively!
No pre-registration required, but the tournament is limited to 24 players, so make sure you get to the library a few minutes early!
Just like to watch Wii? We'll also have board and card games, and the teen lit and summer Olympics trivia, for those of you who enjoy Wii as more of a spectator sport.
Gamers are welcome to BYO snacks and soda.
