Book Review: Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally

Jordan Woods is the best high school quarterback in Tennessee. This year is the year Jordan will lead the Hundred Oaks Raiders to a state championship, last year was close. Jordan dreams of playing at Alabama, the best college for football, and the athletic department is recruiting her heavily. That's right, Jordan Woods is a girl.

At the start of her senior year Jordan is focused on football, and nothing can distract her. Except for maybe transfer student Tyler "Ty" Green. He lead his Texas team to a state championship last year, and by the way he also plays quarterback. There's not much of a chance for Ty to takeover the starting position from Jordan, but Jordan knows that she is definitely attracted to him. Will dating another player make her teammates think less of her? And what is Sam Henry's problem with all of this?

Jordan is a smart focused girl who knows what she wants, and goes out to get it. Her focus on the field is admirable, and you can see why she would want to play for a program like Alabama. Of course, things can't always be perfect. Her father may be a famous NFL player, but he can't support his own daughters football ambitions. Also, her best friends just happen to be guys, which is kind of hard when she wants to talk about her guy troubles.

A fun, fast read for the reluctant romantic type. Read this one while watching college bowl games, and rooting for your favorite teams! This title is available both in print and on Freading.
