Preview of Teen Events 2014

As we wind down 2013, it's time to start looking forward to 2014!

Milwaukee Bucks Read to Achieve: Stop in the library shortly after the new year to sign up for the Milwaukee Bucks Read to Achieve program. You read, we reward you with a voucher so you can go to a Bucks game for free! If you keep reading, you'll win chances to win other awesome prizes. This event is for those of you in 3-10th grade.

MCTBA: Every year librarians from Milwaukee County sit down and figure out what the best 15 books were from the past year. We then turn around and ask you, the teens of Milwaukee County, to vote on your favorite title. The titles for 2014 will be announced tomorrow (12/19), so be sure to check back to see what titles made the list, and be sure to vote for your favorite!

WAPL Wii: We'll have two Wii open plays and one tournament this winter/ spring. Our first open play is on February 8th, 2014 with a tournament on March 22nd. Stop in after the new year for more dates and program details!

Divergent Movie Event: Did you know way back in October we had a Divergent craft night? Well, if you missed it the first time around we're doing it again, this time with more faction fun! Come ready to be sorted into your faction, and do an activity that is faction approved. Then we'll go all factionless and let you try your hand at all the different activities! This will be on March 20th, from 7-8:30 PM. Check back later for more details!

That's not all we're doing in 2014! We've got a night of fandom, some awesome crafts and an awesome John Green/ The Fault in Our Stars party in the works!

I'll see you @ the library!
Katie
