Writers Camp Reading List: Inspiration

Last week (July 17th) at Teen Writers Camp we talked about books that inspire us to write. Here are the books the writers in attendance talked about:

1.  Pull of the Moon by Elizabeth Berg
2.  Angelfall by Susan Ee
3.  Shut Out by Kody Keplinger
4.  Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty
5.  Inheritance Series by Christopher Paolini
6. The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

We also used the Mysteries of Harris Burdick by Chris Van Allsburg to inspire us to write short stories. Another great book to find inspiration is My Ideal Bookshelf, which has illustrations and essays from all sorts of people about what books inspire them to write, design and create.
