Book Review: Jessica Darling's It List 2 by Megan McCafferty

Jessica Darling is back for another adventure in trying to figure out how to make her way in middle school. With help from big sister Bethany's "It List #2", this time guaranteed to help her with all of her crazy friend situations.

For example, is Bridget is still her best friend? Just the fact that they are neighbors makes them friends, even though with Bridget dating Burke, and Dori dating Scotty, it seems like the two of them are best friends. Her new friends are a bit harder to figure out. Manda and Sara are her friends, but sometimes she wonders if they are really her friends. Sure they lie to her, and twist the truth, but in the end they seem to have her best interests in mind, right? Hope seems promising as far as friends go, however she's never really around. Junior High is hard, and that's just dealing with the people there.

7th grade is not easy, and even with her sister's help Jessica finds her self struggling. Friends, boys and even other activities are a bit of a challenge. It's a good thing she is honest, and fully her unique self through out the whole process!

Jessica Darling is a favorite character of mine, and I love reading about her pre-high school adventures. Fans of the other Jessica Darling books will love to see what happened before, and younger fans who might not be ready for her high school (and beyond) adventures will enjoy this fun series about life in middle school!

I'll see you @ the library!
