Teen Read Week is October 12-18, 2014. this year we are scrapping Teen Read Week, and making it Teen Read Month!
Starting on October 6th, stop in the library once a week and enter to win some awesome paperback books! We'll have weekly winners and at the end of the month, we'll draw for a collection of some awesome popular books (The Maze Runner, If I Stay, The Giver and Paper Towns). You can enter once a week giving you up to 4 chances to win new books!
We'll also have special teen book displays in the library. Check out the center display for some awesome teen titles, as well as the teen space for some spooky books you may want to check out!
Finally we'll have two awesome teen events! On October 16th at 7 PM we are going to have a Random Fandom Fan-Fiction night! Come and celebrate your favorite fictional worlds by writing about them! Also, on October 24th we'll have our Friday Fun open day from 3:30-5:30 PM. This should be some spooky fun, with games (Wii anyone?), snacks and just time to hang out!
All events and contests are open to Teens (those of you ages 12-18 or in grades 6-12) who live in Milwaukee County. Books can be checked out by anyone who loves (or wants to get to love) books written for teens!
