Let's Talk About Summer Reading

The official Teen Summer Reading Theme. Cool.
Happy Monday!

I know it's only April 6th, and you are on Spring Break (or close to it, or just ended it). But here at the library we are gearing up for SUMMER READING (which you must yell, because it is in all caps).

Summer Reading for Teens here at West Allis will start on June 1st, and it's going to be a bit different this year. Here's the break down: You read four books, you fill out a form, you bring it back to the library! Congratulations, you now earn: a packet of awesome coupons, an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing and 5 book bucks for the Silent Prize Auction!

Here's where things are different. If you want to earn MORE entries or MORE book bucks you need to do something else. For every teen program you attend or
every book review you write on the official form, you will earn another entry into the Grand Prize Drawing and 5 book bucks.

Wait there's more! Because so many of you are busy, we are extending the program to August 29th! But wait you say, the Silent Prize Auction is on August 20th. Yep, and if you want to earn book bucks, you'll have to get those reading logs and book reviews in by August 17th. You can still get your coupon packet and enter the Grand Prize Drawing until the 29th. (And just a hint, the Silent Prize Auction is a program, so you earn 5 book bucks just by showing up!)

We'll have more information coming soon, and don't worry there will not be a test on this. It's just time to start thinking about SUMMER READING!

I'll see you @ the library!
Katie
