Books to Give (or Just Check Out)

Looking for that perfect gift to give a friend this season? Here are some current YA titles that you might be inclined to gift (or read yourself) this December!

Symphony for the City of the Dead by M.T. Anderson:  Check out this look at Russian history and the role of composer Dmitri Shostakovitch may have had in instigating the people. Give this one to  your sister who has been listening to Hamilton on repeat.

Binge by Tyler Oakley: Popular Vlogger, social activist and personality gives us his memoirs, with new and familiar stories for fans. For your best online friend, someday you'll have a huge YouTube channel as well!

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell: Meet Simon Snow, the chosen one, if he could just take care of his evil roommate Baz. This story is based on the fan-fiction from her book FanGirl, and would be perfect for your friend who still ships HP/DM.

Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman: A story of a boy's sturggle of living a "normal" life while he struggles with schizophrenia Impress your friend who only reads "literature" with this National Book award winner.

Nimona by Noelle Stevenson: A story of a young shape-shifter, two knights and a world controlled by an institution, Nimona is graphic storytelling at its best! For the Game of Thrones lover who loves discussing anti-heroes.

Hopefully this helps with your Seasons Readings!
