Book Review: Nimona by Noelle Stevenson

Ballistar Blackheart is a villain. While he is planning his latest heist against the Institute of Law Enforcement, Nimona shows up. She's a big fan of his and wants to be his sidekick. Ballistar works alone, however Nimona is a shapeshifter and will be valuable in his heists.

Ambrosius Goldenlion is a hero. Of course, he is Ballistar's nemesis, even though they used to be friends. He is the one who protects the world from Ballistar, however even with Ballistar's rules, Nimona keeps making it hard to fight fair.

In a country ruled by an institution that may or may not be evil at heart (of course saying they are there to protect people from evil), Nimona, Blackheart and Goldenlion fight for their lives, and of course, maybe something more

Nimona is one of the best books I read in 2015, and while it is a Graphic Novel, it is a great read for fans of all kinds of books. It has action, adventure, fantasy, and yes symbolism.

If you are looking for a quick read that will stick with you, check out Nimona.

I'll see you @ the library!
