Bookish Distractions

Looking to continue (or start) the Teen Summer Reading Program? Here are July's most anticipated reads from Epic Reads. #1 on the list? Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I'm personally excited for Miranda Kennealy's newest, Defending Taylor.

Speaking of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling has published information on the houses at Ilvermony, the North American school for Witchcraft and Wizardry, over at Pottermore. Rumor has it you can sort yourself into your North American house too.

Book Riot has an excerpt from another one of July's anticipated reads, This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab.

Are you a Gilmore Girl's fan? News about the new series is swirling, but none as rumor starting as actress Alexis Bledel meeting with Michelle Obama to give some book recommendations. So, no Michelle Obama on the new Gilmore Girls, but definitely over the A.V. Club.

And finally, for those of you who might miss Teen Writers Camp this week, here are writing things you just might need. (Buzzfeed).

Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July!
Katie
