Is this thing on...TEENS you still have 3 days to get all your Reading Logs and Book Reviews in to the library to be included in our awesome invitation only Reading Race! 20 Teens will get the golden ticket to come to an invitation only event on August 19th.Why do you want to come to this event? The 20 teens that are invited will each leave with a large book prize, titles include the Divergent Series, The Hunger Games Series, 5 of the Twilight Books, and even a copy of the 5th Wave book and DVD.
Everyone will leave with a prize, so what can you do to be invited? First off, make sure everything is returned to the library by August 12th at 6 PM!
1. Track your reading! Everyday you've read starting June 1st through August 12th keep track of it! Every 7 days you read for at least 20 minutes you earn one point.
2. Write book reviews! Every book you've read from June 1st through August 12th and you write up a short summary, you earn 3 points!
3. Don't worry about your points, we're keeping track and we'll let the top 20 Readers know they are invited on Monday August 15th that they are invited to the event on August 19th!
(If you attended programs in June and July you also got 5 points for every program you came to!)
So stop by the library, fill out some reading logs, write some book reviews and be invited to the Reading Race Party on August 19th!
