I'm a few days late, but on Monday I waited with baited breath for the announcement of the Printz Award! This is an award librarians give to what they think is the best book written for teens in the past year. Kind of like the Oscars for Teen Books...and the winner is....
We are Okay by Nina LaCour!
Four books were awarded honors as well,
The Hate U Give (Angie Thomas) (Also the winner of the Morris Award!)
Long Way Down (Jason Reynolds)
Strange the Dreamer (Laini Taylor)
Vincent and Theo: The Van Gogh Brothers (Deborah Heiligman) (Also the winner of the Excellence in Non-Fiction Award!)
