Avengers Read-A-Likes

Avengers: Infinity War opens tonight, and if you can't see the movie right away, here are some books to keep you reading and away from spoilers!

If You Can't Get Enough Avengers:
Miles Morales: Spider-Man by Jason Reynolds: Why not read the adventures of teen Spider-Man as he figures out his role at a new prestigious school, and well being Spider-Man.

Black Widow: Forever Red by Margaret Stohl: In another YA book based on an Avengers Character, we have the Black Widow protecting a girl who has been trained by the same man who trained her as an assassin.

If you Want a Rag-Tag Team with Superpowers Taking on Big Evil:
The Diviners by Libba Bray: Evie O'Neil has a power that she should keep hidden, however when she is sent to live with her Uncle in New York, the fabulous life she imagines turns out a bit creepy. As a big evil awakens, it's up to Evie, her Uncle and a few other people to help figure out what is going on.

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater: Blue is the only non-psychic in her family. When she meets Gansey, and his friend from Aglionby Academy, they are off to solve a mystery that is thousands of years old.

If You Want More of an Anti-Hero or Another Point of View:
Renegades by Marissa Meyer: When the good guys didn't save her family, Nova bides time and tries to take them down, as her own superpowers start to emerge.

The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness: What happens to the people that aren't super heroes? Here's the story of someone who just wants to get through, even though he lives in a world full of super heroes.

Fan-Fiction Bonus:
Carry on Simon by Rainbow Rowell: Reluctant heroes? Not too sure who the bag guy is? Large evil taking out chunks of the population? Just want them to "MAKE OUT ALREADY"? If answered yes to any of those questions Carry On Simon is the book for you!

I'll see you @ the library!
