Printz Award 2019

On Monday ALA (American Library Association) announced all their youth media awards, which is just a fancy way of saying they gave out the awards for the best books of the year!

One of my favorite awards is the Michael L. Printz Award, which goes to the best book written for young adults, and the award this year went to The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo

Three books were given honors, Damsel by Elana K. Arnold, A Heart in a Body in the World by Deb Caletti, and I, Claudia by Mary McCoy.

All of these excellent books can be found at the library, and check out the complete list of award winners here.

I'll see you @ the library!
Katie
