Happy August! Here are the events for teens at the West Allis Public Library this month!
Lit Loot: Registration Open Now, Pick up August 15th: Register over at westallislibrary.org/events for a Folklore* themed box! You get a library book and some surprises. You return the book and the box, and keep the surprises! (*Folklore as in fairy tales, not the Taylor Swift Album, as I was fooled.)
Teen Advisory Board: August 8, 4:30-5:30 PM: Students going into grades 7-12 are invited to join our Teen Advisory Board! Earn volunteer hours by helping prep for and plan teen activities. We will ask those of you attending for the first time to fill out a short form!
Duel & Dice: August 12, 2-3:30 PM: From Dungeons & Dragons, Munchkins, or even Magic the Gathering, come prepared to join in some nerdy fun! Bring your games, decks, or campaigns, or join of of the library's games!
Teen Tasting Event: Pizza: August 17, 7-8 PM: We are going to taste test pizza! We'll have a few different brands of delivery and frozen pizzas, and try them all. Then we will decide which pizza reigns supreme! Registration is required for this event: westallislibrary.org/events
Teen Art Club: August 22, 7-8 pm: Come create at the library! This month we will be decorating custom school supplies! Of course, we always have stuff you can color or draw with!
Finally it is our last full month of summer reading! Don't forget to stop in the library for prizes, or even register!
